The Best Platform To Learn Front-End Development & Why

Throughout my journey of learning Front-End Development i’ve came across so many different platforms, educational companies, and tutorials. Here’s a list:

  • Codeacademy
  • Freecodecamp
  • Books
  • Coding Bootcamps (I joined a blockchain bootcamp called Chainshot)
  • Youtube tutorials
  • Skillshare
  • Udemy
  • Code.org

There is one platform missing from this list that I want to chat about. The growth i’ve experienced through working with these amazing teachers has basically supercharged my learning. It all comes down to the way they present the information and have you interact with the problems.

That platform that i’m talking about is Scrimba.

Scrimba is a project-based, educational platform that teaches you the foundations of HTML, CSS, JS, React, and UI/UX design. It allows you to watch tutorials being played out on an IDE whilst also having the ability to stop the tutorial and code right there, as its being described to you. Heres an example:

Why this is instrumental to your learning (and what i’ve always felt was the crutch for other educational platforms) is you are able to get a lot of projects under your belt and learn in real time. It combines all the aspects of learning (visual, reading, and doing) whilst also allowing you the freedom to struggle with building and implementing the new skills you’ve just acquired.

They have a couple courses absolutely free and something i’d recommend to anyone looking to get started in programming with the most developmental educational platform in the industry.
